HR departments could save more than one day per week by automating admin tasks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Over a third of HR leaders believe they could save between one and two hours per day if certain administrative and manual tasks were fully automated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These are the latest findings from a recent poll led by workforce management giant Kronos Inc. The poll draws insight from more than 100 HR leaders at the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition, one of the biggest events in the HR calendar.<\/p>\n

That means HR departments could potentially save between a day and a day-and-a-half’s worth of work per week through automation.<\/p>\n

It comes as no surprise that more than half of respondents (52%) said they would choose to increase the amount of automation in the solution if they could change one thing about their HR processes.<\/p>\n

HR professionals were also quizzed on what the future of HR technology looks like to them. Over a quarter (26%) stated a simplified overall process would be desirable. A further 20 per cent said they would like to see a sophisticated all-in-one solution on offer in the near future.           <\/p>\n

More time for bigger issues<\/strong><\/p>\n

Such responses are an indication of the vast amount of time that HR professionals are spending on administrative tasks such as recruiting, benefits administration, and employee records.<\/p>\n

It also demonstrates a growing need for intelligent AI technologies to streamline certain tasks. That doesn’t mean it’s a direct replacement for human involvement; it actually frees up time for HR professionals to focus more on creative solutions, people development and strategic thinking within their business.<\/p>\n

One thing’s for sure: the future of HR will rest on a combination of automated technology and human capability, and we’re only just scratching the surface of what’s possible.<\/p>\n
