Human Resources professionals have a stake in ethics and compliance (E&C) and must determine the critical differentiators that make some programmes more effective than others.
This report is based on a survey with nearly 1,860 ethics and compliance professionals and it highlights the success of many E&C programmes in framing their organisations’ operations and responses to ongoing challenges.
More than 60% of those surveyed have formal requirements that executives’ and employees’ ethical behaviour is taken into account in performance evaluations, promotion, bonus awards, and hiring for key control functions. More than half of high-performing programmes improved their engagement with employees using interactive codes of conduct, improved and more flexible training, and simplified policies.
